SQUADRON OPEN HOUSE and FLY DAY

Saturday, September 8th has been set for the fly day fundraiser.  Various squadron officers and members are in the process of organizing and making all the necessary plans and arrangements.  The squadron will need all hands to help with this event.  We will be selling rides and the DEW Line Squadron will be doing lunch.  Stay tuned for further info at the regular squadron meeting!

 

RECAP of JUL MEETING

Dinner was again provided by the Colonel’s Ladies of the DEW Line Squadron providing another great Mexican Pile On feast.  The guest speaker was our very own CAF Life Member, Colonel Earle Parks, who presented us with a great rundown on the T-34 aircraft and his experiences with it.  Colonel Parks is a key player in the current fleet of civilian owned T-34 aircraft now flying with national recognize.  He shared his colorful background with us on how he got involved with the T-34 through the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) based in Amarillo.  Thanks to Colonel Parks for a great presentation.

The squadron has a website up and running.  The address is www.caf-dewline.org .  If you have any photos, news, information or stories, please contact a staff member to get your information on the website.  The more the website is used by the Squadron, the better it will get.  The better the website gets, the more we will use it and the more valuable it will be for us. 

 

SQUADRON STAFF/BUSINESS MEETINGS

The staff/business meetings have been changed to 5:30 pm on the third Thursday of the month, just prior to the regular squadron meetings.  All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.  The meeting is not exclusive to staff members only.  Please come to the meetings, make known your views and get involved!  

 

WTW C-45 PROJECT
